CLASSES AND RULES
100 OUT OF BOX STREET Automotive vehicles designed for stree and road
use, using only the parts provided in the kit. Two piece tires may be replaced with singles piece tires of similar size and
type. any type of paint finish, glue and bare metal foil are permitted. Aftermarket decals may also be used. Putty may be
used to repair but not alter kit defects. Kit instructions must be provided.
200 OUT OF BOX COMPETITION Same as above but for any type of racing
vehicle.
300 FACTORY STOCK Vehicles built to replicate original manufacturer's
specifications as those offered for sale to the public.
400 CUSTOM Vehicles with at least two (2) major body modifications such
as chopping, sectioning, etc. Kits which represent customized vehicles may also compete.
500 STREET ROD 1948 or older "hot rodded" vehicles with basically stock
bodies. Must be street legal (treaded tires, mufflers, lights, etc.) Includes hot rods from all eras.
600 MISCELLANEOUS Automotive related subjects that do not conform to other
classes. Enties placed in this class that do conform to other classes will be moved by the judges.
700 STREET MACHINE/PICK-UP 1949 and newred vehicles with basically stock
bodies and modifies drivetrains, suspensions, etc. Must be street legal (treaded tires, mufflers, lights, etc.)
800 LOWRIDER Vehicles lowered with modified suspensions or small diameter
wheels.
900 STRAIGHT-LINE COMPETITION Vehicles designed for drag racing,
salt/dry lake racing, pulling events, monster trucks, and demo derby.
1000 COMPETITION-OTHER-CLOSED WHEEL Vehicles set up for competition in
which the wheels are enclosed by body or fenders and used on circular or road type courses.
1100 COMPETITION-OTHER-OPEN WHEEL Vehicles set up for competition with
exposed wheels and tires and used on circular or raod type courses.
1200 COMMERCIAL/TRUCK-LIGHT Vehicles under 10,000 lbs G.V.W. built or
modifies for commercial use. Signage required.
1300 COMMERCIAL/TRUCK-HEAVY Vehicles over 10.000 G.V.W.
1400 EMERGENCY VEHICLES All types of emergency vehicles.
1500 MOTORCYCLES all kit or scratch built bikes of any scale.
1600 DIORAMA Scenic representation of any automotive theme. No larger
than 2 feet by 2 feet.
1700 CURBSIDE ALL Vehicles with hoods, doors and decklids closed. No engine
or engine parts may be visible. Slammers may compete in this class.
1800 TUNERS Modern, street legal vehicles with tupbe or supercharges 4
cyl. engines and with modified suspension and bodies.
1900 JUNIORS (AGES 13 - 17) All types of vehicles built by anyone between
the ages of 13 and 17.
2000 BEGINNERS (AGE 12 AND UNDER) Vehicles built by anyone under the age
of 12. Contestants must be in attendance to enter and recieve awards.
2100 ODD SCALE Vehicles (other than motorcycles) of any scale other than
1/24 or 1/25. This is the only class larger or smaller scales may enter.
